REHAB

Recovering from an injury can be frustrating, especially if the healing process is taking long. Mistreated or untreated injuries often lead to chronic pain, discomfort, and affect your movement. Our goal is to help you return to life and sport stronger, faster, and more resilient. We use the latest research and techniques to help our patients recover as quickly as possible.

Physical rehabilitation addresses aches, pains, and injuries related to muscles, nerves, bones, and joints. A practitioner will perform a comprehensive assessment and build a treatment plan to help you return to life (and sport) stronger than before. Therapy can include soft tissue therapy (using our hands or instruments), taping (kinesiology or athletic tape), orthopedic bracing, joint mobilization/manipulation, concussion treatment, and therapeutic exercises (stretching, range of motion, isometric training, and functional strengthening).

Comprehensive Assessment

A practitioner will work with you to determine the root cause of any mobility issues or injuries and build a treatment plan to help you return to to life (and sport) stronger than before.

Soft Tissue Therapy

A practitioner will use their hands or instruments to mobilize soft tissue (scar tissue, myofascial adhesions, etc.) effectively decreasing pain, improving range of motion, and improving function.

Therapeutic Exercise

Our coaches will empower you with movement prescribed to correct impairments, restore muscular function, and maintain a state of well-being. The scientific evidence demonstrating the beneficial effects of exercise is indisputable, and the benefits of exercise far outweigh the risks in most adults. Our team prescribes exercise programs customized to each patient’s needs and can include aerobic, resistance, mobility, and neuromotor exercise training. We spend time on our gym floors meticulously teaching our patients how to move better and pain-free.

Adjustment

A practitioner can include a spinal manipulation in your treatment plan to help decrease spinal stiffness and provides short-term pain relief from spinal pain. Spinal manipulation (or adjustment) is a passive technique where the therapist applies a specifically directed manual impulse, or thrust, to a joint. This is often accompanied by an audible ‘crack’ or ‘pop’ as the pressure in the facet joint neutralizes with the surrounding tissues.

Flexion-Distraction Therapy*

A practitioner can use flexion-distraction therapy to help patients with chronic low back pain and relieve pain from herniated or bulging discs. Flexion-distraction therapy is a form of spinal decompression that requires a special table to help traction the lumbar spine.
